St. Nick or Jesus? Whose coming to your Home?

A review of Advent preparation –

“Dear Children!  Today I call you to prepare yourselves for the coming of Jesus.  In a special way prepare your hearts.  May holy confession be the first act of conversion for you and then, dear children, decide for holiness.  May your conversion and decision for holiness begin today and not tomorrow.  Little children, I call you all to the way of salvation and I desire to show you the way to Heaven.  That is why dear children, be mine and decide with me for holiness.  Little children, accept prayer with seriousness and pray, pray, pray.  Thank you for having responded to my call.”  (11/25/98)

As I continue to reflect on the recent message of Our Lady today in my prayer, I asked in my heart, what could this message mean, especially for me.Our Lady put it very strong in my heart that she was asking me to pray for the conversion of sinners, and that men would reconcile their hearts with God, and put trust in His mercy.

And then this message was given as I posted above, which Our Lady gave to the world about the same time of year in 1998.  Our Mother desires that we prepare for the coming of Jesus in our hearts.

Advent is a time of expectation, and a time of penance.  It is a time to put away the old and ring in the new.Blessed Mother used very strong words this year in her message at the beginning of this Advent season.  She sees death in the hearts of her children when she is looking at us.  Death is serious my friends.  We are dying in our sins, and have lost hope.  Our souls are hungering and thirsting for the love of God whether we are aware of it or not.

If we are wondering why we cannot be happy, it is because we are lacking God in our hearts.  If we wonder why everything is always going wrong in our lives, we are lacking peace and security and do not have Jesus as the foundation of our faith.  We are putting our faith in worldly things, or material needs.  We find security in money, or in our jobs.  We are a very disordered race.

Today our Mother is calling us to go to confession with great trust in the mercy of God.  I just posted in the previous article the voice of Jesus in Divine Mercy, and the great power and gift He has given to the world.  There is no sin that is so great that the Lord cannot forgive or heal you from.

The only sin that is un-forgiven is the one who has lost hope in the mercy of God, and has fallen to despair or the one who is presumptious of the mercy of God without repenting. These souls are already living hell on earth and steeped in their own grief and self pity, most likely filled with all kinds of fears.

Decide for conversion!  Decide for the path of holiness and begin today!  Blessed Mother said, “Do not wait for tomorrow…”  For some it may be too late, as your life can be taken from you at any time.  Live today as though you were going to die tomorrow.

If you knew you were going to die tomorrow, who is the one you need to reconcile with before you face God?

If you knew your were going to die tomorrow, what would you do different in your behavior before facing God?

Why my friends do we put off tomorrow what must be done today? Decide now for holiness.

Every human being is called to holiness. There are no exceptions. The Lord said, “be perfect, for I am perfect.” (Jas. 1:4-5, Mt. 5:48, 19:21, Lev. 22:31-33)

Holiness does not necessarily mean an austere lifestyle.  No!  This is the wrong way of thinking.  Holiness is a way of life by living the commandments of God, obedience to His Church, and building a foundation in prayer in whatever state in life you are in.

Holiness requires rejecting sin, and sinful lifestyles…”those who do such things will not inherit the Kingdom” as St. Paul teaches. (Eph. 5:1-20) It is because of these evil things the justice of God comes. The mercy of God is for the repentant sinner. The gospels and the prophets make it very clear do not waste your time on earth, but seek the Kingdom of God before all things.

In the scriptures the Lord has said on multiple occasions to “Keep my Commandments…you are my friends if you keep my commandments.”  To stay in God’s friendship we must live the commandments.  Examine your hearts with the 10 commandments if you are unsure if you have offended the Lord.  I assure you in some way most have violated all of the commandments.  No one on this earth is without sin.  This is one way to begin anew.

Blessed Mother said to the children of Fatima for the world, “Stop offending the Lord your God, for He is already much offended.”

Let us come back to friendship with God and change our lives. Begin today and make the first step.  Jesus wants to be born in you, and conquer your heart with Divine Mercy, with His Divine Love.

Let’s keep this Holy Season in perspective.  It is the celebration of the birth of our savior.  It is not Santa Claus’ Feast day.  His day; (St. Nicholas is on December 6th).

Live the words…. O HOLY NIGHT.  Enter into the grotto with the Holy Family in deep contemplation, and unite your heart with the infant child in awe and wonder.  How can it be that the God that the whole universe cannot contain come in such utter poverty and humility, and not one person knew He was coming except for those who were told in Spirit.  Do we every give any thought to this my friends?  It is the same God who is hidden now, and still today so few seek to find Him.

Even St. Nicholas today is adoring the face of God in eternal joy.  Shouldn’t we be doing the same?

“If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.  “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. This is my commandment: love one another as I love you.  No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.” (John 15:10-14)
