Are you Joyfully Living Your Faith?

This is a time of witnessing the love of God

“Dear children, I call you for this time to be for all of you a time of witnessing. You who live in the love of God and have experienced His gifts, witness them with your words and life that they may be for the joy and encouragement to others in faith. I am with you and incessantly intercede before God for all of you that your faith may always be alive and joyful in the love of God. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (9/25/11 Message)

Dear friends of Our Lady, these are days of trials and trevailing in the love of God. It was only earlier this past month that the Blessed Mother said that things were falling apart around us, but only God is eternal.

When I asked the Mother the meaning of this message for me, and how she wanted me to witness her presence in the world, I received a very humble teaching from her; not what I expected to say the least.

Our Lady is speaking to her own children and to those who have experienced her love in an extraordinary way in Medjugorje being touched by the love of God.

This is the one who has experienced conversion and are living out the message will full submission to the will of God, and living the way of the cross as Christ crucified in your body.

But to be the witness of Our Lady, she reminded me of these words she once gave to me in prayer many years ago. She said, “… remember my little one how I once was like a quiet river among many, and only spoke as the Lord desired of me…”

In other words the witness she is calling us to is by our life example, to model after her likeness, as her children formed and taught by her example.

Think about this for a moment…

Blessed Mother is one who is called “Full of Grace…” She is filled with the Holy Spirit, the love of God, just in the way she is speaking to us. But with this love of God in the Holy Spirit she carried in all fullness, no one ever knew she was filled with this power in her. She kept it all to herself right? What humility in perfection!

Many of us who have received these gifts as she speaks of, and who have experienced the love of God must model their mother in the same way. Power comes the inner silence, the stillness of the Holy Spirit moving in us.

Our Lady makes reference though to witness with words right? What word are we to witness with?

It is not our words! It is the Word of God who dwells in us, the spoken word of God must be enfleshed in you. We have to be docile to this word and speak when it is time to speak, and be silent when it is time to be silent. These are supernatural gifts that must be used with all discretion.

Therefore, YOU who live in the love of God and have experienced His gifts, Blessed Mother is praying for you unceasingly before God, that your faith will always be alive and that you are joyful in the love of God.

Do we see how important this is? We must be joyful Christians in this time of trials and great suffering. We have to rejoice in our sufferings united with the Lord knowing that God works all things for the good.

We have to be a sign of hope.

There are many people who are blaming the Lord for their problems, and do not see that their suffering is the path to their salvation. We need to be that light of hope as one who has been there, and our witness to how the Lord delivered us, and brought us to conversion through it.

Remember who you are. You are God’s family and how I’ve repeated this all too often. There has to be honor in this identity.

Take these words to heart, and try and put them to life, so that Our Lady can capture more hearts for her Son. May God bless you.

“Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ on behalf of his body which is the church of which I am a minister in accordance with God’s stewardship given to me to bring to completion for you the word of God, a mystery hidden from ages and generations past…” (Col. 1:24-26)
