Pope John Paul II, – Medjugorje, Its The Spiritual Heart of the World

Pope John Paul II “Medjugorje – The Spiritual Heart of the World

Pope John Paul II once powerfully observed, “Today’s world has lost its sense of the supernatural, but many are searching for it –and find it in Medjugorje, through prayer, penance, and fasting.” The late pontiff and future saint, his holiness, spoke these words on August 1, 1989,while addressing a group of Italian physicians studying the apparitions in Medjugorje with medical and scientific investigations.

It is no secret within Rome that John Paul II absolutely loved Medjugorje, once even acquiring the nickname “Protector of Medjugorje” within the Vatican. Even eminent American intellectuals were no strangers to this reality. The great Franciscan intellectual, Fr. Benedict J. Groeschel, himself an investigator of supernatural phenomena, once admitted about John Paul II in a revealing interview: “I can tell you for a fact that the pope loves Medjugorje from afar and would go there in a minute if the theologians would let him.”

While it is known that the late Polish pope never personally visited Medjugorje, what is less known is that throughout the last two decades of his life Pope John Paul II held personal meetings and correspondences with Medjugorje visionaries, Medjugorje priests, even Medjugorje inner locutionaries, and numerous pro-Medjugorje bishops. His enthusiasm and love for Medjugorje’s mystics was overwhelming and filled with abundant respect and a joyful beauty overcome with hope. One such example is when Medjugorje visionary, Mirjana Dragicevic Soldo, met with John Paul II. She once shared the details behind this poignant, and somewhat humorous, encounter while addressing a group of pilgrims:

“I personally had a such a great honor to be able to speak with late Pope John Paul II. That was so beautiful. I was in St Peter’s Basilica in Rome with all other pilgrims. Pope as he was walking by, he was blessing everybody. He blessed me and just walked away. And then this Italian priest I was with said ‘Holy Father, this is Mirjana from Medjugorje.’ He came back, blessed me again and he left. And I said to this priest, ‘Father, you see he just thinks that I need a double blessing’ [laughter]. However, in the afternoon we received an invitation tomorrow morning to come to Castelgondolfo, close to Rome in order to talk to Holy Father. I don’t have to tell you that I couldn’t sleep all night. Tomorrow when I reached the place, he saw that I was so excited. We were alone and then he started talking to me in Polish. He thought I would understand because both are Slavic languages. He wanted to make me feel comfortable but I didn’t understand a word because it’s not even close to our language. However, I was crying and I couldn’t catch a breath to say a word. So when I finally succeeded to say a word, I said ‘Holy Father, can we try in Italian ?’ [laughter].

*Then we talked and among other things he said to me, ‘If I were not Pope, I would be in Medjugorje a long time ago. I know everything, I have been following everything. Ask pilgrims to pray for my intentions. And take good care of Medjugorje because Medjugorje is the hope for the entire world………….’ ”

Beyond such personal words of encouragement and trust for the visionaries and the fruits of faith at Medjugorje, Pope John Paul II frequently displayed his appreciation in officially signed papal blessings as well. Two such official blessings were given by John Paul II to Fr. Jozo Zovko, O.F.M., the pastor in St. James Church at Medjugorje when the apparitions began, and to Vicka Ivankovic, one of the Medjugorje visionaries who still receives daily apparitions. Vicka, like Mirjana, has also personally met with the Holy Father in Rome, exchanging gifts and warm sentiments of faith. The official blessing she received from the late pope hangs on her wall, beautifully framed, in her home.

Fr. Jozo met with Pope John Paul II in 1992, in the midst of the wars in the former Yugoslavia. John Paul II’s words to Fr. Jozo were striking: “I am with you, protect Medjugorje! Protect Our Lady’s messages!” The passion and urgency of the Holy Father’s words for the protection of Medjugorje make clear how much the holy site, as to millions of Catholics, meant to him.

That Our Lady is appearing in Medjugorje, the Holy Father had little doubt about. The papal blessing he signed and gave to Fr. Jozo read:“I grant from the heart a particular blessing to Father Jozo Zovko, O.F.M. and I invoke a new outpouring of graces and heavenly favors, and the continuous protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Joannes Paulus II.”

The Holy Father’s own knowledge of Medjugorje and the major figures surrounding the events there was very impressive. Often his knowledge extended beyond the facts that many Medjugorje devotees may even know. For instance, most Medjugorje followers know that there are six visionaries. However, fewer may know that, in addition to the original six children who reported experiencing apparitions of Our Lady in 1981, two also reported experiencing interior locutions (locution cordis), the mystical grace of seeing and hearing Our Lady in an interior way – through the heart, especially when in prayer. Jelena and Marijana Vasilj, distant cousins, were the two youngsters who reported experiencing this grace. At Medjugorje, they acquired the nickname of “the seers of the second generation,” being ten year-old girls (compared to the older visionaries) during the beginning periods of the apparitions.

Of course, such idiosyncratic distinctions, between young mystics who received apparitions and those who received inner locutions—while perhaps a bit perplexing to many observers—were no problem for John Paul II to discern. He didn’t miss a beat. In 1988, John Paul II received a group of Croatian Catholics into his private chapel in Rome. He instantly recognized two members of the group from photographs he had witnessed. Approaching the two young girls, he said, “Ah yes, Jelena and Marijana, who have the interior locutions.” John Paul II greeted the girls warmly and stared into their eyes for some time with much amusement.

Today, both Jelena and Marijana are, of course, mature women. Jelena’s path has especially been interesting. Traveling to the United States for her undergraduate studies, she completed her B.A. at the Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. Shortly thereafter, Jelena returned to Rome where she pursued a doctorate in theology at the Gregorian University, always displaying a sophisticated mind with a deep appreciation for the Catholic faith.

Only two years after the pope met with “the seers of the second generation,” John Paul II sent his friend and confidant, Bishop Paul Hnilica, S.J., then Auxiliary Bishop of Rome, to accompany Marija Pavlovic, another Medjugorje visionary, on a visit to Russia. Bishop Hnilica continually told Marija how much the pope wished to visit Medjugorje. Similarly to the words John Paul II gave to visionary Mirjana Soldo during their meeting, the Bishop emphasized how the Holy Father explained to him: “If I wasn’t the Pope, I’d be in Medjugorje already!

Many bishops from around the world have had similar encounters with John Paul II on the topic of Medjugorje. In June 1986, in response to a group of twelve Italian bishops seeking advice on pilgrims traveling to Medjugorje, the pope recognized the indisputable fruits of faith present in the village: “Let the people go to Medjugorje,” he said, “if they convert, pray, confess, do penance and fast.”

Similarly, in April 15, 1990, the National Catholic Reporter quoted Bishop Michael D. Pfeifer of San Angelo, Texas. Bishop Pfeifer explained:“During my Ad Lumina visit to Rome with the Bishops of Texas in April 1988, I asked our Holy Father his opinion about Medjugorje during the private conversation I had with him. He spoke very favorably about the happenings there, pointing out the good which had been done for people. During the lunch which the Texas Bishops later had with the Holy Father, Medjugorje came up for further discussion. Again His Holiness spoke of how it has changed the lives of people who visit it, and said that so far the messages are not contrary to the Gospel.”

Likewise, during his Mass Homily at the Notre Dame Conference on Medjugorje delivered on May 14, 1989, Bishop S. Treinen, Bishop of Boise, Idaho, related a conversation he once had with John Paul II:

“In the course of it [our conversation] I said: ‘Holy Father, I have just come from Medjugorje. There are wonderful things going on there.’ The Pope replied: ‘Yes, it’s good for pilgrims to go to Medjugorje and pray and do penance. It’s good.’ That’s first hand, I heard him say it myself.”In February 1990, Bishop Murilo Krieger, then Auxiliary Bishop of Florianopolis, Brazil, reported a conversation with John Paul II about the apparitions, wherein the pope enthusiastically told him: “Medjugorje is a great center of spirituality!” Not only that but the Holy Father also happily assented to Bishop Krieger’s request, giving his papal blessings to the visionaries. Bishop Krieger explained:

“In 1988, I was with eight other bishops and thirty three priests on spiritual retreat in the Vatican. The Holy Father knew that many of us were going to Medjugorje afterwards. After a private mass with the Pope, before leaving Rome, he said, without having been asked anything, ‘Pray for me in Medjugorje.’ On another occasion, I told the Pope ‘I am going to Medjugorje for the fourth time.

* ’He concentrated his thoughts and said, “Medjugorje, Medjugorje, it’s the spiritual heart of the world’. On the same day I spoke with other Brazilian bishops and the Pope at lunch time and I asked him: ‘Your holiness, can I tell the visionaries that you send your blessing?’ He answered: ‘Yes yes,’ and embraced me.”

In addition to Pope John Paul II’s overwhelming support, in recent years Medjugorje has acquired some very influential supporters in Roman Catholic circles. Critics of Medjugorje, from the bishop of Mostar to German theologian Manfred Hauke, are given a lot of media attention. But what is noteworthy is how many cardinals have voiced their affection for the shrine, including Cardinals Tonini Ersilio, Emmanuel Wamala, Jean Margeot, Frantisek Tomasek and, most recently, his eminence Christoph Cardinal Schonborn, the Archbishop of Vienna who visited Medjugorje as a pilgrim for Christmas 2009. Even theologians have shown their appreciation. The French theologian Fr. Rene Laurentin and the Swiss theologian and cardinal Hansursvon Balthasar have been open Medjugorje supporters. Balthasar, in addition to being arguably the most eminent theologian of the twentieth century, is also known for co-founding—with his friend Joseph Ratzinger (the current Pope), and with others—the Catholic journal Communio. He frequently referred to the events happening at Medjugorje as “a theater of holiness.

*”Most recently, the popular American priest, Fr. Donald Calloway of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, published his autobiography, No Turning Back: A Witness to Mercy. Fr. Calloway is the vocation director for the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, the author of numerous books, and a leading proponent of the Divine Mercy devotions of St. Faustina Kowalska. It was a book about Medjugorje, The Queen of Peace Visits Medjugorje, which led to Calloway’s famous conversion, going from an agnostic and destructive youth wrestling with addiction, promiscuous sex, and illegal crime to someone who found hope, peace, and meaning in Medjugorje, leading to the priesthood and to his current life of spiritual maturity and personal unity with Christ and Our Lady.

The messages and fruits of Medjugorje have reached an innumerable amount of people. From the faithful millions who have visited the village to the millions who have read about it, to some of the most influential members of the Catholic Church. Pope John Paul II, who many Catholics believe was a mystic himself, had a special relationship (in his immense spirituality and in his devotion to Our Lady) with Medjugorje. He asked others to protect Medjugorje and he believed that Medjugorje was the fulfillment of Fatima.

Monsignor Angelo Kim, President of the Korean Bishops’ Conference, once wrote about his encounter with John Paul II in the Korean national weekly newspaper, Catholic News, in 1990. Prior to the conclusion of the last Bishops’ Synod in Rome, the Korean bishops were invited to a lunch with John Paul II. Msgr. Kim addressed the Holy Father directly and said, “Father, thanks to you, Poland was able to liberate itself from Communism.” To this, the Holy Father responded, “No, this is not my merit. This is the work of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as She had predicted in Fatima and in Medjugorje.”

As mentioned, in the Vatican he was known as the “Protector of Medjugorje.” In reality, this relationship was mutual. According to the testimony of the Medjugorje visionaries, on May 13, 1982, on the anniversary of the Fatima apparitions and on the occasion of an assassination attempt on John Paul II’s life, Our Lady said, “His enemies tried to kill him, but I have protected him.”

Divine Mercy Novena Begins April 22

Tell the Whole World about my unfathomable Mercy...

Divine Mercy Sunday, May 1, 2011. Novena begins on Good Friday

Divine Mercy Novena. Jesus to St. Faustina: “On each day [start on Good Friday] of the novena, you will bring to My Heart a different group of souls and you will immerse them in this ocean of My mercy. On each day you will beg My Father, on the strength of My Passion, for the graces for these souls. By this novena, I will grant every possible grace to souls.” ( #1209 & 796)

Day One: “Today bring to Me All Mankind, especially all sinners and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. In this way you will console Me in the bitter grief into which the loss of souls plunges Me.”

Most Merciful Jesus, whose very nature it is to have compassion on us and to forgive us, do not look upon our sins, but upon our trust which we place in Your infinite goodness. Receive us all into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, and never let us escape from it. We beg this of You by Your love which unites You to the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon all mankind and especially upon poor sinners, all enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. For the sake of His Sorrowful Passion show us Your mercy, that we may praise the omnipotence of Your mercy forever and ever. Amen.

Day Two: “Today bring to Me Souls of Priests and Religious and immerse them in My unfathomable mercy. It was they who gave Me strength to endure My bitter Passion. Through them as through channels My mercy flows out upon mankind.”

Most Merciful Jesus, from whom comes all that is good, increase Your grace in men and women consecrated to Your service, that they may perform worthy works of mercy, and that all who see them may glorify the Father of Mercy who is in heaven.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the company of chosen ones in Your vineyard, upon the souls of priests and religious; and endow them with the strength of Your blessing. For the love of the Heart of Your Son in which they are enfolded, impart to them Your power and light, that they may be able to guide others in the way of salvation, and with one voice sing praise to Your boundless mercy for ages without end. Amen.

Day Three: “Today bring to Me All Devout and Faithful Souls and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. These souls brought Me consolation on the Way of the Cross. They were that drop of consolation in the midst of an ocean of bitterness.”

Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy, You impart Your graces in the great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and never let us escape from it. We beg this of You by that most wondrous love for the Heavenly Father with which Your Heart burns so fiercely.

Eternal Father, turn Your Merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of Your Son. For the sake of His Sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. Thus may they never fail in love of lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may they glorify Your boundless mercy for endless ages. Amen.

Day Four: “Today bring to Me Those who do not believe in God and Those Who do not yet know Me. I was thinking also of them during My bitter Passion, and their future zeal comforted My heart. Immerse them in the ocean of My mercy.”

Most Compassionate Jesus, You are the Light of the whole world. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who do not believe in God and of those who as yet do not know You. Let the rays of Your grace enlighten them that they, too, together with us, may extol Your wonderful mercy; and do not let them escape from the abode which is Your Most Compassionate Heart.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who do not believe in You, and of those who as yet do not know You, but who are enclosed in the most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Draw them to the light of the Gospel. These souls do not know what great happiness it is to love You. Grant that they, too, may extol the generosity of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen.

Day Five: “Today bring to Me the Souls of those who have separated themselves form my Church and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. During My bitter Passion they tore at My Body and Heart, that is My Church. As they return to unity with the Church, My wounds heal and in this way they alleviate My Passion.”

Most Merciful Jesus, Goodness Itself, You do not refuse light to those who seek it of You. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Church. Draw them by Your light into the unity of the Church, and do not let them escape from the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart; but bring it about that they, too, come to glorify the generosity of Your mercy.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Son’s Church, who have squandered Your blessings and misused Your graces obstinately persisting in their errors. Do not look upon their errors, but upon the love of Your Own Son and upon His bitter Passion, which He underwent for their sake, since they, too, are enclosed in His Most Compassionate Heart. Bring it about that they also may glorify Your great mercy for endless ages. Amen.

Day Six: “Today bring to Me The Meek and Humble Souls and the Souls of Little Children and immerse them in My mercy. These souls most closely resemble My Heart. They strengthened Me during My bitter agony. I saw them as earthly angels who will keep vigil at My altars. I pour out upon them whole torrents of grace. Only the humble souls is capable of receiving My grace. I favor humble souls with My confidence.”

Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said, “Learn from Me for I am meek and humble of heart.” Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart all meek and humble souls and the souls of little children. These souls send all heaven into ecstasy, and they are the Heavenly Father’s favorites. They are a sweet-smelling bouquet before the throne of God; God Himself takes delight in their fragrance. These souls have a permanent abode in Your Most Compassionate Heart. O Jesus, and they unceasingly sing out a hymn of love and mercy.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon meek souls, upon humble souls and upon little children, who are enfolded in the abode of the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls bear the closest resemblance to Your Son. Their fragrance rises from the earth and reaches Your very throne. Father of mercy and of all goodness, I beg You by the love You bear these souls and by the delight You take in them: Bless the whole world, that all souls together may sing out the praises of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen.

Day Seven: “Today bring to Me The Souls who especially Venerate and Glorify My mercy and immerse them in My mercy. These souls sorrowed most over my Passion and entered most deeply into My spirit. They are living images of My Compassionate Heart. These souls will sine with a special brightness in the next life. Not one of them will go into the fire of hell. I shall particularly defend each one of them at the hour of death.”

Most Merciful Jesus, whose Heart is Love Itself, receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who particularly extol and venerate the greatness of Your Mercy. These souls are mighty with the very power of God Himself. In the midst of all afflictions and adversities they go forward, confident in Your Mercy; and united to You, O Jesus, they carry all mankind on their shoulders. These souls will not be judged severely, but Your Mercy will embrace them as they depart from this life.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls who glorify and venerate Your greatest attribute, that of Your fathomless mercy, and who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls are a living Gospel; their hands are full of deeds of mercy and their hearts, overflowing with joy, sing a canticle of mercy to You, O Most High! I beg You O God: Show them Your mercy according to the hope and trust they have placed in You. Let there be accomplished in them the promise of Jesus, who said to them that during their life, but especially at the hour of death, the souls who will venerate this fathomless mercy of His, He Himself, will defend as His glory. Amen.

Day Eight: “Today bring to Me The Souls who are Detained in Purgatory and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. Let the torrents of My Blood cool down their scorching flames. All these souls are greatly loved by Me. They are making retribution to My justice. It is in your power to bring them relief. Draw all the indulgences from the treasury of My Church and offer them on their behalf. Oh, if you only know the torments they suffer, you would continually offer for them the alms of the spirit and pay off their debt to My justice.”

Most Merciful Jesus, You Yourself have said that You desire mercy; so I bring into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory, souls who are very dear to You, and yet who must make retribution to Your justice. May the streams of Blood and Water which gushed forth from Your Heart put out the flames of Purgatory, that there, too, the power of Your mercy may be celebrated.

Eternal Father, turn Your most merciful gaze upon the souls suffering in Purgatory, who are enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. I beg You, by the sorrowful Passion of Jesus Your Son, and by all the bitterness with which His most sacred Soul was flooded, manifest Your mercy to the souls who are under Your just scrutiny. Look upon them in no other way but only through the Wounds of Jesus, Your dearly beloved Son; for we firmly believe that there is no limit to Your goodness and compassion. Amen.

Day Nine: “Today bring to Me The Souls who have become Lukewarm and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls wound My Heart most painfully. My soul suffered the most dreadful loathing in the Garden of Olives because of lukewarm souls. They were the reason I cried out: ‘Father, take this cup away from Me, if it be Your will’. For them the last hope of salvation is to run to My mercy.”

Most Compassionate Jesus, You are Compassion Itself. I bring lukewarm souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart. In this fire of Your pure love let these tepid souls, who, like corpses, filled You with such deep loathing, be once again set aflame. O Most Compassionate Jesus, exercise the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the very ardor of Your love; and bestow upon them the gift of holy love, for nothing is beyond Your power.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon lukewarm souls who are nonetheless enfolded in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Father of Mercy, I beg You by the bitter Passion of Your Son and by His three-hour agony on the Cross: let them, too, glorify the abyss of Your mercy. Amen.

Week 5-Lenten Exercise “Lord Grant Us Perseverence”

The Bride must resemble her betrothed...

The Lord has asked me to slow down for this week, as there are many who are struggling with being able to keep up with this exercise. DO NOT GIVE UP, PRESS ON ALL THE MORE AND KEEP YOUR FOCUS. For this reason the gift we will work on is the gfit of Fortitude and the strength to carry the cross all the way to calvary.

Living the life of Jesus and the way of the cross is not easy, but it comes with a triumph in the end. If we do not believe this, then meditate on the death and passion of the Lord. He has risen and is fully alive today and in our midst. But we must see with the eyes of faith, and firmly believe that Jesus makes all things new!

We are coming to the end of this Lenten journey in just a mere couple of weeks. Review and look back to see how far you have come. Where are the areas of growth for you and reflect about what you have experienced thus far with this walk through the desert with Jesus and Mary, and what gift of grace the Lord has prepared for you. Keep your focus on the vision of the plan of God for you. Do not be dismayed if this plan is not exactly the way you imagined it would be, for all too often we put our human expectations and emotions in the plan.

God seeks only our salvation. And His plan will acheive that end in its perfection, and is contrary to our own way of thinking. IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE IT TO CONFESSION YET THIS MONTH, DO SO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO PREPARE YOUR HEART FOR THE RISEN LORD TO ENTER.

Throughout this week pray for a deep gift of fortitude to continue the journey.

REMEMBER PRAY TO THE HOLY SPIRIT BEFORE WORKING ON THE DAILY EXERCISES

Daily Meditation:

“Dear children! I invite you to reflect about your future. You are creating a new world without God, only with your own strength and that is why you are unsatisfied and without joy in the heart. This time is my time and that is why, little children, I invite you again to pray. When you find unity with God, you will feel hunger for the Word of God and your heart, little children, will overflow with joy. You will witness God’s love wherever you are. I bless you and I repeat to you that I am with you to help you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (1/25/97)

Day 1
“Dear children! Also today I am with you and I again call all of you to come closer to me through your prayers. In a special way I call you to renunciation in this time of grace. Little children, meditate on and live, through your little sacrifices, the passion and death of Jesus for each of you…” (2/25/98)

“My daughter, I am always with you. I have given you the opportunity to practice deeds of mercy which you will perform according to obedience. You will give me much pleasure if each evening you will speak to me especially about this task.” (Jesus – Diary #1267)

Jn. 10:17-18, Jn. 15:5, Rom. 8:29, 1 Jn. 4:18

Day 2
“…Only if you come closer to Jesus will you comprehend the immeasurable love He has for each of you. Through prayer and your renunciation you will become more open to the gift of faith and love toward the Church and the people who are around you. I love you and bless you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (2/25/98)

“…suffering will be a sign to you that I am with you…” (Jesus-Diary #869)

Is. 40:31, Ps. 18:1-2, Mt. 27:39-42

Day 3
“Dear children! Also today I call you to fasting and renunciation. Little children, renounce that which hinders you from being closer to Jesus. In a special way I call you; pray, because only through prayer will you be able to overcome your will and discover the Will of God even in the smallest things. By your daily life, little children, you will become an example and witness that you live for Jesus or against Him and His will.” (3/25/98)

“…It is in My Passion that you must seek light and strength…Fear nothing, I am with you.” (Jesus – Diary #654-55)

1 Cor. 13:4-8, Jn. 19:26, Mt. 16:21, Jn 13:37

Day 4
“….Little children, I desire that you become apostles of love. By loving, little children, it will be recognized that you are mine. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (3/25/98)

“Do not fear anything. I am with you. These matters are in My hands and I will bring them to fruition according to My mercy, for nothing can oppose my will…I am always in your heart; not only when you receive Me in holy Communion, but always.” (Jesus-Diary #573, 575)

Jn. 21:18, Jn. 21:19, Jn. 20:19, Acts 4:29-31

Day 5

“Dear children! Today I invite you to come still closer to me through prayer. Little children, I am your mother, I love you and I desire that each of you be saved and thus be with me in Heaven. That is why little children, pray, pray, pray until your life becomes prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (8/25/98)

“…My delight is to be united with you. With great desire, I wait and long for the time when I shall take up My residence sacramentally in your convent. My spirit will rest in that convent and I will bless its neighborhood in a special way. Out of love for you all, I will avert any punishments which are rightly meted out by My Father’s justice…I have inclined my heart to your requests…” (Jesus – Diary #570)

Ex. 14:13-14, Eph. 6:11-13, Lk. 4:18, 2 Cor. 1:22

Day 6
“Dear children! Today I call you to become my witnesses by living the faith of your fathers. Little children, you seek signs and messages and do not see that with every morning sunrise, God calls you to convert and to return to the way of truth and salvation. You speak much little children, but you work little on your conversion. That is why, convert and start to live my messages, not with your words but with your life. In this way, little children you will have the strength to decide for the true conversion of the heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (9/25/98)

“…Your assignment and duty here on earth is to beg for mercy for the whole world. No soul will be justified until it turns with confidence to My mercy, and this is why the first Sunday after Easter is to be the Feast of Mercy. On that day, priests are to tell everyone about My great and unfathomable mercy….tell the confessor that the Image is to be on view in the church and not within the enclosure in that convent. By means of this image I shall be granting many graces to souls; so let every soul have access to it.” (Jesus – Diary 570)

“I Desire to SEE Your Yes…”

Dear children, I am with you and I pray for you before my Son...

“Dear children! In a special way today I desire to call you to conversion. As of today, may new life begin in your heart. Children, I desire to see your ‘yes’, and may your life be a joyful living of God’s will at every moment of your life. In a special way today, I bless you with my motherly blessing of peace, love and unity in my heart and in the heart of my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (3/25/2011)

Whew, it does not seem to be enough hours in the day these days. But I’ve been feeling Our Lady tugging my heart for these recent words she spoke to the world about.

As we seek wisdom with the Holy Spirit in this holy time of Lent, our Lady is reminding us what Lent is all about… “conversion of heart.” To experience conversion of heart we enter into a new birthing so to say; a new life in Christ in a new way.

Our Lady is here today very near to us. As the scripture says, “the Kingdom of God is at hand…” Our Lady brings to us her Son Jesus. He is the Kingdom in fullness.

Blessed Mother wants to obtain for us the graces we need to go deeper into our conversions. She asks us to press tightly to her motherly heart as an infant child would; who would want to be comforted, held and loved with the warmth of her embrace.

We are in the spring time of season…Our Lady desires a new life to come forth from our hearts. She has repeated this in her message of 2/25/2011. As with all of God’s creation on earth, the buds are coming forth and so are the flowers beginning to sprout from the earth. It is the same for us. These are signs for us to seek anew the beauty of God’s creation in the human being and the dignity of another.

She said in the above message, “Children, I desire to see your ‘yes’, and may your life be a joyful living of God’s will at every moment of your life…

There is no play on words here. She did not say I desire to “hear your yes”. But she desires to see our yes. When we give her our hearts and we consecrate ourselves to her, she wants to see us take action. She wants to see we really mean what we say to her.

Now I am a mother. When my child makes a promise to me that they will do something, I have a level of expectation that they will complete what they have promised to do. If we say I give you everything of myself dear Mother, but I do not love my neighbor, or I go on committing the same sins, then I have fallen, and I must show that I am remorseful for the wrong I have done.

Can we make a promise to the Mother of God, and underneath our breath say no way, I’m not going to do that. She may be asking us to carry a burden or a cross that may help us to grow more in holiness. This cross may birth new graces for others to help them in their conversion.

Intercession is a powerful tool to obtain graces for others. It is the mission of Jesus in the most personal and intimate way, and the highest form of prayer to offer of oneself in the body through a simple word, “yes”.

If we say yes to our dear Mother in heaven for our crosses, then she is able to take us with seriousness, and pass our deeds of mercy on to her Son, who can multiply those graces to where ever they need to go.

For example, I had a recent experience through some dreams I have been having. They seem to be of the same meaning, but they’ve come in different ways. Most prominent was the one I just had last night. The Lord will often use dreams in our subconscience to convey to us what He wants to bring to conscience for us, or what He wants us to do for Him.

In this particular dream I saw two people, they seemed to be Japaneese in my dream, at least I awoke thinking this. But these two people were sinking in a mud pit, reaching out for help. Now in hindsight I would say the recent tsunami victims, at least I felt this in my heart. When I took this to prayer, the Lord was showing me, these were souls in Purgatory who are in need of prayer. So I understood they were souls crying out for prayer in their suffering state. So through the holy Mass today, with Our Lady I prayed for the poor souls.

Our Lady often says, “dear children, you are all important in this plan…with out you I cannot fullfill my plans….” If you are willing and you give your yes to her, when things such as dreams or inspirations come forth our prayer becomes one with the will of God, and the prayer is answered.

Isn’t that logical? If we know what God wants us to pray for, then the prayer will be answered? We must always be quiet to listen for those promptings of the Holy Spirit.

I get numerous requests from people who ask me to pray to God for discernment for themselves. My response always is, “I cannot discern anything for you that you don’t already know, because the Kingdom of God is within.” The problem is we are not listening, and we are deaf to His Word. I will pray with the one who asks, but in truth the discernment is between God and the one discerning.

The Lord will use the voice of others to confirm something we are discerning, the voice of His Church or his prophets. The ones who are open, who say “yes” to be empty vessels of the Holy Spirit, are the ones hearing the voice of the Lord. These are the ones who are being stripped of everything from worldly standards, and allowing more of the spirit of Jesus to dwell within. Remember, God is Spirit. He desires to be in full Spirit in the human being made in His image and likeness. We have to desire this, and work for this. That means sin has to go!

How are we living her call as being that joyful witness of living God’s call in our life? Are you ready to go to the cross if that be the will of God for you, in joy?

Living God’s will is not always easy. That means our will has to go. We have to pray as Jesus prayed, “not my will but yours be done in me.” This by the way was a prayer while Jesus was in the Garden in Agony. He layed down His will as much as He was suffering, and surrendered it all to the Father, because He had the full vision of the plan of God, knowing what He was going to endure was not in vain. In your prayer, beg God for the vision to help you press into the time of trial and not run from that cross.

That is the prayer that will be answered. Suffering always has redemptive value. But when we surrender to the perfect will of God, the pain of the suffering is lessened, and we are able to drink the chalice and go on.

This is the grace Jesus received from the angel. His surrender to the will of the Father strengthened Him to say yes every step of the way. It is the same for us. We have to say yes every step during our way of the cross, no matter how hard, how difficult or how many times we may fall. It is YES LORD, YES LORD, YES, YES, YES!!! This is when the grace comes, this is when the healing comes. With every crucifixion there is a resurrection and triumph.

Our Lady concludes her message with her blessing. Here is our consolation and hope. Remember the movie the The Passion of the Christ? Focus on this movie if you watch it again. Notice every time Jesus fell, and where was Our Lady in the scene? He looked at her, and he found strength to go forward. We are in Lent in this time. Our Mother is with us, as Jesus is becoming more incarnate in us. She is here to encourage us, to love us, and to help us gain strength for the sake of our salvation, and win the victory.

With her blessing, contains a tremendous gift and grace from God. Our Mother comes every day to bless the world. Every day you are getting blessed and you do not even know it.

Take it to prayer sometime and ask what this blessing really means and how often we take it for granted when we get blessed. Something happens to our souls in this blessing my friends. We should stop every day, and welcome her and her blessing in our hearts, to receive it with love and in fullness of the gift she is bringing us from heaven. It is a blessing she has obtained from the Father and the Son, fully packed with the Holy Spirit.

Let us all continue on with open hearts to her maternal love. And please thank God every day for this great gift that we are able to grow up with her, just like Jesus did in Nazareth.

There is a great mystery in this gift of our Nazareth years with the Mother of God. But remember, it came a time when Jesus was ready for his public mission and made His way to the Cross. We do not know how long the Father will permit her to be with us, but many of us feel the days are numbered my friends. Continue on and work all the more harder on the conversion of heart, so we are ready for the day that comes.

Ave Maria!

“For though we live in the world we are not carrying on a worldly war, for the weapons of our warfare are not worldly; but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguements and every proud obstacles to the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience when your obedience is complete!” (2 Corinthians 10:3-6)

Week 3-Forty Days in the Desert-An Oasis of Peace

Through prayer become friends with Jesus

It’s been a little harder this week to get this post out. Seems there have been some technical difficulties taking place with the host company. There must be some good fruit coming. I hope the Lord is touching your hearts as He is with us and our family.

The beauty of this is to see my children dialoging with the Lord and the scriptures. Not only do we encourage relationships and build unity in the family, but we encourage them to have a heart to heart relationship with their eternal family.

Remember the Holy Spirit is the author of the Word. Never begin your prayer without the help of the Holy Spirit.

Also be sure to make a conscious effor to get to the sacrament of reconciliation during this time to fortify your strength for the continued journey and refresh your soul in the ocean of mercy. Remember our Lady just said, it is through the priests that she will triumph. Really ponder these words for her purpose for coming into the world.

Catechism of the Catholic Church References: 737-741, 797-98, 1472-74, 1502

Daily Reflection:

“Dear children, tonight your Mother is happy, joyful together with you. I would like to extend happiness to you. I would like to give you love, so you can bring this love and spread it to others. I would like to give you peace, so you can give this peace to others, so you can give this peace especially to families where hatred exists. I would like you, dear children to renew the family prayer, all of you. I would like you to encourage others to renew this prayer. Your Mother will help you.” (10/17/88)

Day 1

“Dear children, with motherly perseverance and love I am brining you the light of life to destroy the darkness of death in you. Do not reject me, my children. Stop and look within yourselves and see how sinful you are. Be aware of your sins and pray for forgiveness…” (11/2/10)

“…It should be of no concern to you how anyone else acts; you are to be My living reflection through love and mercy.” (St. Faustina replied, ‘Lord but they often take advantage of my goodness.’) “That makes no difference, My daughter. That is no concern of yours. As for you, be always merciful toward other people, and especially toward sinners.” (Diary 1446)

Jn. 11:1-4, Mt. 10:8, Mk. 14:12-15, Jn. 20:20-23

Day 2

“…My children you do not desire to accept that you are weak and little, but you can be strong and great by doing God’s will. Give me your cleansed hearts that I may illuminate them with the light of life, my Son. Thank you.” (11/2/10)

“…Oh how painful it is to me that souls so seldom unite themselves to Me in holy Communion. I wait for souls and they are indifferent toward Me. I love them tenderly and sincerely, and they distrust Me. I want to lavish my graces on them, and they do not want to accept them. They treat me as a dead object, whereas my Heart is full of love and mercy. In order that you may know at least some of my pain, imagine the most tender of mothers who has great love for her children, while those children spurn her love. Consider her pain. No one is in a position to console her. This is but a feeble image and likeness of my love.” (Diary 1447)

2 Cor. 10:3-6, Rev. 21:2-4, Acts 3:16-23, 4:10-12

Day 3

“Dear children! Today I call you to come closer to my Immaculate Heart…” (10/25/98)

“…Tell souls where they are to look for solace; that is in the Tribunal of Mercy. (Sacrament of Reconciliation). There the greatest miracles take place and are incessantly repeated. To avail oneself of this miracle, it is not necessary to go on a great pilgrimage or to carry out some external ceremony; it suffices to come with faith to the feet of My representative and to reveal to him one’s misery, and the miracle of Divine Mercy will be fully demonstrated. Were a soul like a decaying corpse so that from a human standpoint, there would be no restoration and everything would have already be lost. It is not so with God. The miracle of Divine Mercy restores that souls in full. Oh how miserable are those who do not take advantage of the miracle of God’s mercy. You will call out in vain, but it will be too late…” (Diary 1448)

Lk. 8:43-47, Prov. 3:1-12, Ez. 36:26, Act 4:16-20

Day 4

“….I call you to renew in your families the fervor of the first days when I called you to fasting, prayer and conversion. Little children, you accepted my messages with open hearts, although you did not know what prayer was. Today, I call you to open yourselves completely to me so that I may transform you and lead you to the heart of my Son Jesus, so that He can fill you with His love. Only in this way, little children, will you find true peace – the peace that only God gives you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (10/25/98)

“…First, do not fight against a temptation by yourself, but disclose it to the confessor at once, and then the temptation will lose all its force. Second, during these ordeals do not lose you peace; live in My presence; ask My Mother and the Saints for help. Third, have the certitude that I am looking at you and supporting you. Fourth do not fear either struggles of the soul or any temptation because I am supporting you; if only you are willing to fight, know that the victory is always on your side. Fifth, know that by fighting bravely you give Me great glory and amass merits for yourself. Temptation gives you a change to show Me your fidelity.” (Diary 1560)

Mt. 26:35, Lk. 22:33-34, Gal 2:20, Ps. 46, Jn 11:39-40

Day 5

“Dear children! Also today I am with you in a special way contemplating and living the passion of Jesus in my heart. Little children, open your hearts and give me everything that is in them; joys, sorrows, and even the smallest pain that I may offer them to Jesus; so that with His immeasurable love, He may burn and transform your sorrows into the joy of His resurrection…” (2/25/99)

“…I remind you my daughter, that as often as you heart the clock strike the third hour, immerse yourself completely in My mercy, adoring and glorifying it; invoke its omnipotence for the whole world, and particularly for poor sinners; for at that moment mercy was opened wide for every soul. In this hour you can obtain everything for yourself and for others for the asking. It was the hour of grace for the whole world – mercy triumphed over justice. (Diary 1572)

Jn. 11:44, Is. 55:8-9, Jn. 2:5, Lk. 23:43

Day 6

“…I now call you in a special way, little children for your hearts to open to prayer, so that through prayer you may become friends of Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (2/25/99)

“…My daughter, try your best to make the Stations of the Cross in this hour, provided that your duties permit it; and if you are not able to make the Stations of the Cross, then at least step into the chapel for a moment and adore in the Blessed Sacrament, My heart, which is full of mercy; and should you be unable to step into the chapel, immerse yourself in prayer there where you happen to be, if only for a very brief instant, I claim veneration for my mercy from every creature, but above all from you, since it is to you that I have given the most profound understanding of this mystery.” (Diary 1572)

Prayers for March 19th-St. Joseph Feast Day

St. Joseph Pray for Us!

Petition for St. Joseph’s Blessing

Bless me, O dearly beloved Father, St. Joseph. Bless my body and my soul; bless my resolutions, my words and deeds, all my actions and omissions, my every step; bless all that I possess, all my interior and exterior goods, that all may redound to the greater honor of God. Bless me for time and eternity, and preserve me from every sin.

Obtain for me the grace to make atonement for all my sins by love and contrition here on earth, so that after my last breath I may, without delay, prostrate at your feet, return thee thanks in heaven for all the love and goodness thou, O dearest father, has shown me here below. Amen.

Act of Consecration to St. Joseph

O dearest St. Joseph, I consecrate myself to thy honor and give myself to thee, that thou may always be my father, my protector and my guide in the way of salvation. Obtain for me a great purity of heart and a fervent love of the interior life.

After thine example, may I do all my actions for the greater glory of God, in union with the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary! And do thou, O blessed St. Joseph, pray for me that I may share in the peace and joy of thy holy death. Amen.

Prayer to St. Joseph in a Difficult Problem

O Glorious St. Joseph, thou who has power to render possible even things which are considered impossible, come to our aid in our present trouble and distress. Take this important and difficult affair under thy particular protection, that it may end happily (name your request).

O dear St. Joseph, all our confidence is in thee. Let is not be said that we would invoke thee in vain; and since thou are so powerful with Jesus and Mary, show that thy goodness equals thy power. Amen.

St. Joseph, friend of the Sacred Heart, pray for us.

[Words of Our Lady to St. Bridget of Sweden: “St. Joseph was so reserved and careful in his speech that not one word ever issued from his mouth that was not good and holy, nor did he ever indulge in unnecessary or less than charitable conversation. He was most patient and diligent in bearing fatigue; he practiced extreme poverty; he was most meek in bearing injuries; he was strong and constant against my enemies; he was the faithful witness of the wonders of heaven, being dead to the flesh and the world, living only for God and for heavenly goods, which were the only things he desired. He was perfectly conformed to the Divine Will and so resigned to the dispositions of heaven that he ever repeated: ‘May the Will of God ever be done in me!’ He rarely spoke with me, but continually with God, whose Will he desired to perform. Wherefore, he now enjoys great glory in heaven”.]

Prepare this Lent to defeat Sin

My soul longs for thee my God...

God the Father said to St. Catherine of Sienna, “Dost thou not know dear daughter that all the suffering which the soul endures or can endure in this life are insufficient to punish one smallest fault, because the offense being done to Me who am the infinite Good, calls for infinite satisfaction? However, I wish that though should know, that not all the pains that are given to men in this life are given as a punishment but as corrections, in order to chastise a son when he offends; though it is true that both the guilt and the penalty can be expiated by the desire of the soul, that is by true contrition, not through the finite pain endured but through the infinite desire; because God who is infinite wishes for infinite love and infinite grief…” (The Dialogue of St. Catherine of Sienna)

Can the human heart refrain from partaking in His pain of the savior crucified?

Can we avoid or resist from uniting our suffering with Jesus? We can try to avoid all we want, but suffering is going to come in our life.

According to the Father our suffering alone is of no avail, and is not sufficient to atone the offenses of sin that is committed to God eternal. He said that our suffering must be united with the eternal, that is the one whose suffering was the only acceptable sacrifice pleasing to the Father, the Son Jesus Christ crucified.

When I read these great words of wisdom spoken by the Father to his servant St. Catherine saying that “not all pains that are given to men in this life are given as punishment, but as corrections, in order to chastise a son when he offends…” I was led to the following scripture as St. Paul said;

“As to the extraordinary revelations in order that I might not become conceited I was given a thorn in the flesh, an angel of satan to beat me and keep me from getting proud. Three times I begged the Lord that this might leave me. He said to me, ‘my grace is enough for you, for in weakness power reaches perfection.’ And so I willingly boast of my weakness instead that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I am content with weakness, with mistreatment, with distress, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ; for when I am powerless, it is then that I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:7-10)

I gave great thought to these words, reflecting on the passion of Jesus, and with this great doctor of the Church St. Catherine of Sienna who suffered the stigmata; or the wounds of Christ in her body.

Be weary dear friends of those who boast in the gifts given from God as someone too special, and lifting and raising them to high esteem. No one could comprehend the workings of God in the human soul, and for what reason such extraordinary events come to certain souls.

Our Lady has said on many occasions when the visionaries of Mejugorje have asked, why did she come to them. Her response alone is filled with wisdom as she said, “she does not always choose the best.” It is the very least likely souls that God will choose, which often is through children who are innocent before becoming too seasoned and tainted by the world.

So let’s understand in truth that many would think of these extraordinary events as one who has become special and chosen in the eyes of God…yes this it true. But to remind the reader, if one has been given much, much is expected, and this soul is called to severe judgment if the grace given is not upheld in humility.

But what about to the one who bears the wounds of Christ in the body?

Has anyone ever given thought to why the Lord has permitted such afflictions on the body of a particular soul? Yes, of course for the Lord to manifest His power, but satan can also deceive in this extraordinary event as well. So we have to think more with great prudence in such suffering.

St. Catherine asked the Lord to suffer for the sins of humanity yes, but in order for her not to boast in her heroic deed, she suffered affliction in many ways to keep her humble. In reality when someone is in agony, it is hard to be so proud in these moments. It is a humble and contrite heart that pleases the Lord.

As I reflect on this mystery in my own life, and looking at a quick glimpse of my life review and the experiences I have encountered, I am in awe for I recognize the inflated pride in my own soul, knowing that this pride, my stubbornness, my selfishness had to go at whatever cost for the sake of saving my soul.

My friends, the battle was and is still fierce within me. The words of St. Paul who said, “he learned obedience through what he suffered…” rings oh so true to the depth of this soul, this one who is speaking to you. So much so, in the spirit of Fear of the Lord, that is the fear of offending my God, I shrink at the thought of getting a divine spanking from God for my behavior and my own actions when I disobey. I am the worst of the sinners.

When you have experienced the Love of God in truth, and see who you are in fullness of truth from the beginning of your existence through today, that is I mean by saying, where I was at one time in my life, in wasting my human life, to passing through the fiery furnace and coming out as gold being refined in the fire, that no one could comprehend the depth and the length and the breathe of God which passes through the human soul. And I know after 24 years of working on my conversion, I am not done yet!

Our Lady has given me this message for my personal life on many occasions. It has come at the height of the greatest trials in my life. She said,

“Dear children, today I am calling you to the love which is loyal and pleasing to God. Little children, love bears everything bitter and difficult for the sake of Jesus Who is love. Therefore, dear children, pray God to come to your aid, not however according to your desires but according to His love. Surrender yourselves to God so that He may heal you, console you, and forgive everything inside you which is a hindrance on the way of love. Dear children, glorify God with the canticle of love so that God’s love may be able to grow in you day by day to its fullness. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (6/25/88)

Again dear friends united with Our Lady, I ask you to again take the crucifix in your hands and meditate on the wounds of Jesus. Here in this way you are now looking at the love that is loyal and pleasing to God.

Look at Jesus crucified Who in His love bears everything for you. The suffering and death of Jesus was most bitter, most loathful, most painful, in agonizing grief, and He endured it with great difficulty for yours and my sake. This is love my friends. There is no greater love that ever came to mankind than Divine Love.

I recently wrote that Our Lady is leading us to her Son by the way of the Cross. Here we are on the cusp of Lent, with Ash Wednesday just around the corner.

How are you preparing yourself for this coming Lent?

Are you asking Jesus what sin He wants to put to death in you?

You will need to spend the time in the desert facing this sin that He wants to defeat in you. And you will be tempted and tried in many ways and wrestle with it in the darkest moments, to put it to the sword, because the enemy has the stronghold on you in this sin, and it will not let it go without a fight in you. It will be your will against God’s will for you.

Our Lady says in this message…

“…Therefore, dear children, pray God to come to your aid, not however according to your desires but according to His love. Surrender yourselves to God so that He may heal you, console you, and forgive everything inside you which is a hindrance on the way of love…”

In these moments, call out to God as you ask in the Lord’s prayer, ‘lead us not into temptation, deliver us from evil…’ Beg the Father to come in the way He desires for you, for He knows what is best for you, according to the love He has for you. Take the correction with joy, knowing what affliction He imposes on you is for your own good, and surrender as Our Lady and Jesus did saying, “thy will be done in me!”

This way, even in the midst of the pain, God will either heal you, console you, and forgive you for every darkness inside of you that blocks you from loving in perfect love. The trial is worst when we suffer alone, and we find ourselves locked up in our own self pity and pride, and then satan begins to work on us, as we find ourselves blaming others for our misery.

Our Lady says accept everything that comes from God with love. Here is where the grace will come. And the burden you carry will be lighter.

Our Lady then says to do as she did with St. Joseph and the apostles,

“….Dear children, glorify God with the canticle of love so that God’s love may be able to grow in you day by day to its fullness…”

Sing! Rejoice in your suffering and in your weakness. Joy is the sign of God’s presence in the soul. Sing as she sang her canticle of love in her Magnificat, “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord!!!” Give all glory to God and thank HIM.

You are going through the fire because the Lord wills the life of your soul! For no other reason, but to share in the divine life with Him, and come to a deeper knowledge of His omnipotence. Your consolation is the taste of heaven and a greater love and appreciation for the profoundness of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ crucified.

Do not rely on your feelings in the desert says the Lord to St. Faustina. Your feelings are not in your control, and are powered by your human emotions.

How many times I have heard, “I FEEL CALLED to such and such…” Life with God is not based on feelings, but it is the desire of the eternal who moves the heart to act in such a way as it does.

TEST EVERYTHING, and do not be deceived by false human consolations that only feed to your pride all the more.

Thy Kingdom come we pray! Pray for the triumphant victory of Jesus in you. Surrender to Him that He may triumph in your heart and in the hearts of those surrounding you! Surrender and lay down your sin in humble submission to the King, and pay Him homage that is due to a righteous King and defeat satan’s angel in your sin so that it has no more power over you.

May the eyes of your heart be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you to and what are the riches of His glory in His saints, to come to know His immeasurable power and His greatness for those of us who believe according to the works of His great might, for remembering that He said, “I will draw all men to myself…” (Eph. 1)

Jesus will draw all men to Himself. It is not men who draw men to themselves in the name of the Lord. These are those who are seeking the light for themsleves and blinded by their own light, lost in their imaginations and sin. Only the Lord will lead us to the cross for His glory, not ours. Keep your pride in check my friends, and seek no honor from men, but let your merit be only known by the Almight above.

We are all united as one body suffering with the One Lord Jesus Christ, as one Church, one God, one faith, one truth. May we all remain united in prayer for each other, and give Him the absolute glory due to Him!

Ave Maria!

Pope: Parishes Help Families

God wants to convert the world through my coming...

Wow, the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI addresses the family and the need for parishes to help families grow in their faith.

My friends, see where we are today. There is no mistake. This message from the Holy Father is just days after Our Lady spoke to the world stating that she is praying that we comprehend that we are God’s family. Above all, the universal Church, the parish families, and the domestic church are all united in the same Jesus Christ.
Below are the words of the Holy Father posted on 1/9/2011….

“The collaboration between the Christian community and the family is much needed in the current social context in which the institution of the family is threatened from many sides and finds itself faced with many difficulties in its mission to teach the faith,” he said. “The disappearance of stable cultural references and the rapid transformation that society continually undergoes, make the educational task truly difficult.

“Therefore, it is necessary that parishes increasingly strive to support families, the little domestic Churches, in their work of passing on the faith.” (Zenit News Source-1/9/2011)

Families must be formed anew in their faith. It is like a generation lost in the faith because there has been little or no formation in the homes. And yet I have already said, that Our Lady has spoken several times of the severity and the seriousness of the responsibility of parents to raise their children under the precepts of God.

Parishes should seek new ways to awaken the faith for their families. To find ways to draw couples and their children, deeper into heart to heart union with God.

Families must pray together, especially the rosary, to begin stirring up those sacramental graces that was gifted to husband and wife on their wedding day. The graces are there my friends. But they are dormant, because husbands and wives do not know their own faith, to hand it down to their children.

This is where the parish needs to step in and provide those opportunities. It is not enough to just to have topical speakers come in; more is needed. Parents need solid food, hard core solid Catholic formation. It is an urgency!

And I know most of you agree with me, because I talk with parents all the time about it. The kids are not getting the formation needed in the Catholic Schools and certainly not in public schools, because it is against the law so to say to mention the name of God. Many children in the Catholic Schools do not even believe there is a God.

Jesus is like Santa Claus to children, and of course as they get older, it is not cool to believe in Santa, so why would they believe in Jesus? There is no relationship!

We’ve developed a program called Holy Family Workshop to help awaken the hearts of couples, first to understand their own marriage sacrament, and then the importance of bringing the grace of their marital love in the home to their children. This formation teaches couples to pray together as husband and wife with listening ears, surrendering to the other, to help build the foundation of faith in Jesus Christ.

So many couples are just going through the motions, of attending mass, praying in church, thinking they are meeting their obligation with God, and then leave the holy Mass only to return to their same old routines. They have no concept of why they must go to mass on Sunday, nor do they see the value of holy Mass. It is routine to most, and the life of the spirit is all but lost in most parishes. Couples have no idea that the modern lifestyle in the world is opposed to God’s plan for the human family.

The Mother of God said very clearly to the world, “parents are teaching their children the wrong way…the youth are in a very difficult situation.”

Folks, this is heaven saying “we have it all wrong.”

We need to return back to the basics, the original foundation as I have said. God must be in the first place at the center of the family once more. Career cannot come first, sports cannot come first, vacations cannot come first. God must be priority! Your vocation is of second importance, then your children, then the rest to follow. We are a disordered culture.

The Holy Family is the first model to study as the perfect human family, as was given in the former articles related to the call of Fatima. Their simple, silent and hidden life speaks volumes to the world and the call to the human family.

And now we have the Vicar of Christ Himself, the official voice of God speaking to the world, calling parishes to help the families! Yes dear friends, the time is now, to start forming families with the proper tools needed to live out the vocation that about 90% of the church’s population consists of.

As I have said, Blessed Mother is rolling up her sleeves, and about to do some serious house cleaning and rearranging the Palace of God. First the interior temple must be set right, and stripped of sin. Then it must be lived out in every day life, especially in the homes where you live.

May I also echo the words of the great encyclical of our modern time, Humanae Vitae, and its call to “Christian Husband and Wives. Pp 25” The document says….

“Christian married couples then docile to her voice [that is the voice of the Church] must remember that their Christian vocation, which began at baptism, is further specified and reinforced by the sacrament of matrimony. By it husband and wife are strengthened and as it were consecrated for the faithful accomplishment of their proper duties, for the carrying out of their proper vocation even to perfection and the Christian witness which is proper to them before the whole world. To them the Lord entrusts the task of making visible to men the holiness and sweetness of the law which unites the mutual love of husband and wife with their cooperation with the love of God, the author of human life.

We do not intend to hide at all the sometimes serious difficulties inherent in the life of Christian married persons, for them as for everyone else, ‘the gate is narrow and they way is hard, that leads to life. But the hope of that life must illuminate their way as with courage they strove to live with wisdom, justice and piety in this present time, knowing that the figure of this world passes away.

Let married couples then face up to the efforts needed supported by the faith and hope which ‘do not disappoint … because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Let them implore divine assistance by persevering prayer, above all let them draw from the source of grace and charity in the Eucharist. And if sin should still keep its hold over them, let the not be discouraged, but rather have recourse with humble perseverance to the mercy of God, which is poured the fullness of conjugal life described by the Apostle; ‘husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the Church … husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever hates his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it as Christ does the Church, this is a great mystery, and I mean in reference to Christ and the Church. However let each on of you love his wife as himself and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”

Let us look at this a little closer. The encyclical states here paragraph 25 the power of the sacrament of holy matrimony, husbands and wives receive a special grace that strengthens not only the marriage union, but also strengthens them to live out their proper vocation as witnesses in the world.

God entrusts husbands and wives; a man and a woman who live under the law of obedience to the covenant they joined and professed by a vow in the presence of God to make visible the sign of His divine love in their cooperation with grace. That is couples must bring to life that which had been given to them as gift and use the gift for the greater glory of God. Most couples are not fulfilling their vow to this order. I warn couples though, God does not forget the vow. It is sealed in the blood covenant of Jesus Christ that was offered during your mass at your marriage.

If a marriage; or a man and a woman who are joined in marriage as one, do not have Jesus Christ as the golden thread between them, who is the true foundation of faith, then the once tied knot of love will become unraveled, and the rope of love will become frayed and fall apart; hence the division and the sins of marriage creep in, and the weakening of nature of man’s humanity will succumb to great temptations which will jeopardize the marriage union.

It is not easy for anyone to vow their lives to another for life, and many couples enter into this union blind without knowledge of the great responsibility set before them in the eyes of God. It’s not even a matter of dishonoring the vows to each other, but the adulterous act is committed against God Himself.

Today we are witness of the faltering state of marriage and family live, reaping the sour fruit of the broken covenantal laws of God.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains in great detail what happens to marriage when sin is manifested in the covenantal union between a man and a woman, in paragraphs 1606-08. The union is always threatened by discord, a spirit of domination, infidelity, jealousy, conflicts which ultimately will escalate into hatreds, separation and disorder. These threats are the result of the couples “break with God” and the covenant which was vowed to God.

Dear friends I do not preach what I do not live. I am speaking from experience as one who has lived to tell it all, and the effects of sin against the sacrament of marriage. We have suffered for 19 years as we looked back to see where it all went wrong. And the Lord in His mercy gave us a birds eye view of all that we have done and the sins committed in our marriage covenant, leaving us with no other option but to tear down what we had once built on sand, to laying a new foundation in Jesus Christ.

I can honestly say as all has come to light, our own sacrament of marriage was made a mockery from the day we said I do at the altar by our act of the will and the decisions we made compromising in sin.

We never gave consideration to what was ahead of us, or did we ever really care that we were offending God, and lived for the party alone. Our marriage was built on selfishness wants and goals. To the depth of my soul, if I knew then what I know now, who knows how things would have been through these past 19 years of marriage. None the less, our experience is a witness of what not to do for married couples.

We had committed every sin against the sacrament itself. However, not only have we suffered the consequences of our sins, but our children have bared the same consequences and have suffered greatly.

The Lord in His mercy, which my friends, is the greatest treasure and mystery known to man, and in it I cling to His merciful heart, for if he were not a merciful God, I should surely be dead and steeped into the pit of hell. It was the Lord who willed the life of our souls, and to this day is using us to be a sign and a witness to the world, one not only to say that God exists, but how He can resurrect to new life what was once thought lost!

The document above said of couples, “Let them implore divine assistance by persevering in prayer, and above all, let them draw from the source of grace and charity in the Eucharist…”

Hours upon hours I spent with the Lord in the most Blessed Sacrament, attending daily mass for over 15 + years and clinging to life as my soul was being refined and purified in the fire. I only had the Lord to look to, for I found no consolation in human love. I was left to myself before my God, in the misery of my sins, knowing that what I had endured through my married life could have been avoided had I been obedient to God and His commandments and sought after holiness in virtue.

Yet all the more, I also witnessed the state of my husband’s soul, who as head of the home was leading his family to the path of hell. I was given a choice by God, to offer my life for the salvation of souls in reparation for sins, not only my sins, but the sins of my husband, and sins against our marriage, and the future of my children. A great act of mercy by the Lord for one who was swimming in misery.

I gave my yes, Our Lady took charge of me, and from there all hell was leashed against me, and the battle began. I will not speak of gory details, as most have been brought to the sacrament of reconciliation, but to witness life after death alone. I spent the greater portion of my marriage suffering from spousal physical abuse, and in its final hour I experienced the crucifixion the day I was put in the hospital with a neck injury, only to find my husband at the foot of the bed in prayer. I heard the words in my soul, “it is finished.” Now his conversion was about to begin.

Therefore I speak clearly from experience, living the Word of God which was fully flesh of my flesh. I lived on a promise by God that we would be restored and as new creatures, built now on Rock. (Mt. 7, Luke 6:48-49) I never knew when this day would come, but the Lord continued to encourage me and hold me up and make up for the love I was not receiving in human terms.

I learned through this journey that not only was I suffering for my own marriage, but for the sacrament of marriage itself, as I know that our marriage is not the only one who has suffered in this way. Ours is on the recovery.

Yes my friends, I could have easily chosen to divorce my spouse and have my children live the effects of divorced parents. I had every ground to do so. But I was living the effects of divorce already as my husband was a product of an abusive divorce situation. It is what he knew about marriage and the only example he was given in his childhood.

The Lord gave me compassion for him. I knew he was not able to love me, as he was in his condition, I had to be the example for him, because he did not know how to love me, but Jesus did. I had to allow Jesus in me to love him through me. In His mercy the Lord begged me to stay on the cross with my husband, and persevere for the sake of his soul. I had to trust that Jesus was doing something in him, even though I was not seeing it visibly.

I believed in the power of sacramental grace. I had parents who were witnesses for me, who have been married for 50 years now. I witnessed how they had overcome countless trials and tribulations in their lives and still all is imperfect and always will be, because we are human and to error is human-to forgive is divine. Their witness, my faith, and the power of God kept me on the cross, as one with Jesus.

And from this, I am witnessing the power of the resurrection, and the countless miracles of God’s mercy and love for us, who now is leading us into the promise land, and rebuilding our souls, and souls of our children.

I never thought I could love this man again. But Jesus continues to teach me about divine love, the love that only comes from God. I had to learn this love by experience, not in word, but in deed.

The love that drove him to the cross knowing what would happen to him. It is Christ from whom I draw my strength, and His love moved me to the cross with him. I did not run, I did not flee but allowed the crucifixion to occur in my soul, dying to self for the sake of the other.

It is not easy to lay this out for the world to see. Maybe you are one who may say, this is too intense. Well maybe so for you, because you are not perfect in love yet nor have you had the grace to experience as such. I have confidence in the Lord enough to know however that He will make up for what I am lacking, and the hope to say I hope He is touching hearts by this witness.

I know who I am, and I know I still have a long journey to walk, but the journey I walk is in the embraced of the eternal lover, Jesus Christ.

I make this point to say clearly this is the state of marriage today. It is also the state of the marriage union with Jesus Christ and his bride, who continues to inflict wound upon wound on His mystical body.

Parishes need to help support marriages said the holy Father. Marriages are threatened by so many facets in the world as he stated. I speak from experience having been to countless parishes in this country. There is a great need for martial spiritual direction, a need for healing and deliverance ministry, and renewal of love in the marriage sacrament.

I am living witness to the power of sacramental grace and divine mercy. We have also been given the grace to counsel many couples who suffer in multiple ways in shared experiences. The only answer is ‘press into the cross’ as Jesus did my friends.

I must note, that there are some situations where there is the threat of life of a spouse. Seek help and bring the situation to light. Be silent no more oh brave soul. No one soul needs to hide in shame any longer. There is mercy, and there is new life.

As I further go on to say in short to continue with the voice of the Church through the encyclical of Humane Vitae, pp 26, the document encourages couples to work with couples and to communicate their experiences to others. Holy Father Pope Paul VI said as such:

“Among the fruits which ripen forth from a generous effort of fidelity to the divine law, one of the most precious is that married couples themselves not infrequently feel the desire to communicate their experiences to others. Thurs there comes to be included in the vast pattern of the vocation of the laity a new and most noteworthy form of the apostolic of like to like; it is married couples themselves who become apostles and guides to other married couples. This is assuredly among so many forms of apostolate, one of those which seem most opportune today.”

Parishes must be open to allow the laity especially couples to work together to help build up once more the marriage sacrament in the plan of God. Couples who can share their experiences of the trials, sufferings and truths of married and family life, especially with young couples who encounter the sacrament with stars in their eyes.

Since the laity make up the greater portion of the Church, great emphasis must be placed in helping marriage and the family life and to help once more give birth to the Holy Spirit who wants to be present in the family.

I will conclude on the words of the Mother of God… who said:

“Dear children, tonight also your Mother is warning that satan is at work. I would like you to pay special attention to the fact that satan is at work in a special way with the young. Dear children, during this period I would like you to pray in your families with your children. I would like you to talk with your children. I would like you to exchange your experiences and help them to solve all their problems. I will pray, dear children, for the young, for all of you. Pray, dear children. Prayer is medicine that heals.” (9/9/88)

Begin today my friends. Pray in your families especially with your children. Begin to strengthen their spirits to fight against satan who is seeking to devour their souls. And be honest and open with them, sharing your experiences and how you have learned from your past mistakes. Help form their conscience, and teach them that God is fully alive!

Fatima? Medjugorje? Connected?

I want to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima may be fulfilled.

“Dear children, today also I invite you to prayer, now as never before when my plan has begun to be realized. satan is strong and wants to sweep away my plans of peace and joy and make you think that my Son is not strong in His decisions. Therefore, I call all of you dear children, to pray and fast still more firmly. I invite you to renunciation for nine days so that with your help everything I wanted to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima may be fulfilled. I call you dear children to understand now the importance of my coming and the seriousness of the situation. I desire to save all souls and to present them to God. Therefore, we pray that all I have started may be completely realized in its fullness. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (8/25/1991)

FATIMA’S CONNECTION TO MEDJUGORJE?

God gave the world the model of the perfect man; he is Jesus Christ and the way to salvation. He gave us a model of the perfect woman; the Blessed Virgin Mary. He gave us another model of a righteous man in human dignity one who toiled and labored as sacrifice in atonement for sin; St. Joseph.

We have come to the close of this holy season of Christmas, which is centered on the birth of Christ who has been born a new into the world for human souls, but Christmas is also centered on the human family.

Blessed Mother speaks frequently about the family and the call to the family in her apparitions in Medjugorje. Our Lady began the call of conversion throughout her history of apparitions.

In one message she spoke of the significance for parents to carry and live the Word of God in the heart and in thoughts. She said in 1996 to place sacred scripture in a visible place in your family, read it and live it. The key word is to “live it.”

Then she said, “teach your children, because if you are not an example to them, children will depart into godlessness.” And so we have it, a godless society in our modern culture, simply because the faith was not being taught in the home.

The most recent apparitions of our age and for our generation which has had great significance and importance for this history in time is Fatima, Portugal. I will speak briefly about Fatima and its connection to Medjugorje-most specifically for the family.

Those who have followed Fatima and have experienced Medjugorje, have experienced the connection. There are many similarities connecting Fatima with Medjugorje, especially from the early years of the apparitions such as the miracle of the sun, which is a frequent occurrence to some who have experienced this event in Medjugorje and the call to conversion.

Why signs and wonders? Our Lady’s response is, “it is necessary to increase the faith.” Most people will believe things when they experience it with their own eyes. But not everyone experiences the same thing. The Lord uses signs in the way He knows the soul is going to respond to Him. Some don’t need to see a miracle of a sun because they have a stronger faith than another, and so on.

In Medjugorje, Our Lady said to Marija Luenetti (visionary) in one of her monthly messages as posted above, that she wants her plans that she began in Fatima to be fulfilled….but satan does not want it.” She said this connecting Fatima to Medjugorje. Fatima is the only Marian apparition sight mentioned by Our Lady in Medjugorje. And through this, we have to pray to understand what she is saying, and would understand its universal call to humanity.

Pope John Paul II proclaimed at one time that Medjugorje is the fulfillment of Fatima as though echoing the words of the dear Mother. For the discerning heart, who believes without seeing, it is clear to the human soul.

However, Medjugorje is still different than Fatima, as in Medjugorje our Lady is giving detailed instruction on how to live the Fatima call. We didn’t get it right the first time.

If anyone has studied and prayed the messages of Fatima, then Medjugorje would make sense for one to understand why it was necessary for Our Lady to return to earth, and call her children again one last time to conversion and prayer.

The world did not heed the message of Fatima, and with great sadness as Our Lady said, Russia would spread her errors of communism, and World War II occurred as she prophesized.

Today the world lives as if there is no God what so ever. It is as if the world has globally gone communist or atheistic. We depend more on technology, careers and statue for our survival, and forget that one day we are all going to die from this earth.

If we look back to Fatima apparitions the call of Our Lady was a call of conversion to the whole world, and pleading to the world to stop offending God. She called the three visionaries to prayer, penance and fasting, especially prayer of the rosary in the family. This is the same core message and call to the world in Medjugorje, prayer, penance, conversion, fasting, reading the bible and holy Mass.

Children were called to modest behavior and dress and to obey their parents. Parents were called to guard and protect the innocence of their children and raise them in the commandment and law of God, and above all to fear the Lord and the loss of soul.

Our Lady gave a vision of hell to the children of Fatima, and showed them how easily souls fell into hell as she said, “Like snow falling to the ground.”

During the last apparition of Fatima on 10/13/1917 there was the great sign of the spinning sun falling to the earth in front of thousands of witnesses. However, the visionaries witness three apparitions during this event of the miracle of the sun.

The first apparition was of St. Joseph holding the child Jesus with Our Lady at their side blessing the world.

The second apparition was Jesus as “perfect man” said the visionaries, who also blessed the world.

The third was Our Lady in the Carmelite habit. Lucia’s words were, “it was the most beautiful of all.”

The first of the apparitions is the call to the human family, and one of order of importance. Especially the call to Fatherhood and the role of fathers with their children, so that they reflect the image of God the Father and His mercy. The role of fathers in the home is significant, and fathers will have to answer to God Himself for how they were stewards over the gifts God has given to them, instructing them in the Law.

The child Jesus in the arms of Joseph is the call to children to surrender to the authority of their parents in the Lord.

Lets take note here. In Medjugorje our Lady addressed the state of the family today. She called the visionaries to pray on 10/24/88 in a profound way, as if speaking about the crisis in the home. Here is the message she gave on this day:
“Dear children, your Mother wants to call you to pray for the young of the whole world, for the parents of the whole world so they know how to educate their children and how to lead them in life with good advice. Pray dear children, the situation of the young is difficult. Help them! Help parents who don’t know, who give bad advice!.”

And just prior to this she said;
“…I would like to give you peace so you can give this peace to others, so you can give this peace especially to families where hatred exists. I would like you dear children to renew the family prayer, all of you…”

Our Lady does not exclude anyone in these messages, it is clear she said “all of you.”
On 4/25/88 she gave her intention for coming to the world. She said, “God wants to make you holy…let holy mass be your life….”

Does our Lady say go work on your careers, earn lots of money and feed yourself to you are fat happy and rich? No! She is very clear about what is most important, that is your soul, and to purify it before meeting your God. She calls us to coomplete dependency on God in everything.

The other two calls from Fatima are calls to religious vocations. The priesthood “Jesus as perfect man” or spiritual fatherhood and the call to religious life; Our Lady in the Carmelite habit. (the Carmelite order is where Lucia spent the rest of her life)

Most especially is the emphasis of religious wearing their habits as one who stand out in the world. Lucia the visionary in her memories document is very direct in saying to those consecrated religious about staying in their habits, and admonishes those who have left their habit, and the penalty of God’s justice for abandonment of the vows. The scripture is clear, “God does not forget a vow.”

However in the first place, the family is where vocations are born. Holy families give birth to holy vocations. Is it no wonder that evil attacks life and the family then?

Many have forgotten Fatima as generations have passed. The call was ignored and because it was, the second world war as prophesized came to be, communism idealism spread and the third secret still was left hanging in the balance, leaving many to wonder the fate of the world.

The world was making a loud statement to heaven however, that it did not need a God.

On May 13, 1981 (anniversary of the Fatima apparitions) Pope John Paul II was shot in the chest. This pope knew the third secret of Fatima, and knew he was the pope of the prophecy. On his way to the hospital he prayed to Our Lady which was dictated by his aide in the ambulance. Through his prayer he pleading to the Mother of God, to spare the world from destruction, and to save it.

It was only days later that Our Lady made her first appearance in Medjugorje, holding the baby Jesus in her arms, on 6/24/1981, the Feast of St. John the Baptist….”prepare the way of the Lord! Make straight His path…” as the great prophet herald in biblical times.

Our Lady came again to the world in the spirit of Elijah the prophet, as though in answer to the prayer of the vicar of Christ who in his great suffering interceded for the world.

My friends, this is no secret and is public record for the discerning heart. The dates do not lie. Let those who speculate research themselves.

Our Lady proclaimed boldly saying, “I am going to give messages to the world as never before since the beginning of time…and at another date said she is calling the world to conversion FOR THE LAST TIME.” She said on 5/2/1982 “I will not appear any more on this earth.”

Since the beginning of creation, no event has ever occurred in such a way as it has until now. It was also recorded and confirmed thru Lucia the last survivor of Fatima that she would live to see the fulfillment. Thus it was so, Our Lady coming to the world to triumph in human hearts to see her Son made king once more, and devotion established to her Immaculate Heart on earth.

Thus also, Pope John Paul II, in gratitude to the Mother of God, not only consecrated Russia to her Immaculate Heart, but the whole world.

The world now is hers, and she has impregnated the world about to give birth to her Son in profound ways in human hearts.

Her plan from the beginning started with hand picked little children as her prophets and apostles, and grew from there as was spoken by many mystics and saints, but one known especially by St. Louis deMonfort. These hand picked children who she called are being formed and purified for her work. This great Marian saint speaks so eloquently of true devotion to Our Lady. Those who live this way become stripped of self love and clothe themselves with her virtues, with disinterested love, surrendering it all to the Blessed Virgin. Her intercession is so powerful to appease the just anger of God and draw down his mercy.

Many know that Our Lady is described as wearing the grey gown. There is no mistake here my friends. She has come as the handmaid of the Lord. She has work to do. She came to do some serious house cleaning, cleaning up the filthy mess in the house of God made by her children, cleaning up false prophets, false teaching, re-establishing devotion to the rosary, and the original traditions of the Church which have been almost lost in this past century.

These hand picked apostles are the ones who have been called from the beginning of the apparitions who have prepared the way of the Lord with the help and guidance of the dear Mother. Their yes, their sacrificing their lives, have birthed the universal plan which is set in course.

Almost a generation has passed, and those laborers in the vineyard worked hard to get the message and their experience known in the world. Many books, media, conferences etc. have laid the foundation. Many have had profound conversions and changes of lifestyles, and have raised their children for the age of Our Lady.

Today in the present time we have now the apostles of the apostles. They are those who heard the world of God (through the voice of the Mother) acted on it, and put them to life. Their witness, their heroic suffering, also now feed the heart of the dear Mother, and the clutter in the house of God is starting to be cleaned up. These are the ones who are witnessing and proclaiming the Word and for some at a great cost.

God’s palace that is His Church must be remodeled and restored. And here we are today in the rebuilding phase of the universal plan. We are about to enter into a new era of the plan of God for the reconstruction project of His Church and reconstruction of human souls. This plan now is going to begin with the domestic church, or that which is called the human family.

The individual conversions now need to move to the families. As go God’s people, so goes the world. The family is the original cell of society, the future of society passes through the family.

Thus a radical change will have to come for the modern society’s family. Our Lady is determined to accomplish the task.

Families will be formed, stripped and purified of all attachment to sins of the world. God’s proper order of creation must now be re-established on earth. My friends, the Lord is determined and it is set in course. Do not think if you are of God’s house that you will be spared from the task.

Husbands and wives must come to know their identity and their roles in the order of creation by God’s design. Husband is head over his wife, and wife is under her husband. The two must be one again, as a head and body working in unity for the sake of the Kingdom. Not head with head, but head and body as Christ is with the Church.

Husbands you are the Christ of the home, as Jesus Christ is the head of the Church. Husbands you are to die for your bride as Christ died for his bride. (Ephesians 5) Men must become who they are as “soldiers for Christ.” They must model their King who was meek and humble of heart.

Women will find their true identity in her true feminine nature as one who births life, and lives modestly, chaste, clothed in the virtues of the perfect woman, the Blessed Virgin Mary. She should never dishonor her husband, as the bride of Christ should never dishonor her spouse Jesus Christ.

Man’s identity comes in his true masculinity as one who sacrifices, dies to himself and his own self seeking pleasures to serve His bride and the gifts she births to him from her body, that is his offspring; his children.

Husbands must be Christlike carrying the living word in their hearts, leading his family with honor, dignity, respect and obedience to the will of God. He is in no way to abuse or dominate or lord himself over her, but to show honor, understanding and love towards his wife as the weaker female sex. (1 Peter 3:7). This scripture utter by St. Peter even said husbands if you do not treat your wives as you should in the Lord, then your prayers may be hindered.

All things must reflect charity in the home towards one another. If a husband leads his wife and family after the model of the perfect man in Jesus Christ, his wife will without doubt will naturally follow his lead knowing she is loved with an ardent love of her spouse, and bring honor to him, and the children will witness the love between the spouses.

That which I have described is the perfect family under the Law, and rooted on solid Rock, through Jesus Christ.

Realistically however, we live in an imperfect world.

I assure you my friends, it has taken me as one who was on the opposite end of the scope over 20 years to discover that in my marriage that if I wanted change in the marriage I had to be the one to change the most.

I must conclude this section here, and I am sure you will agree, there is much to consider here. There is no room for error. Our Lady said, “Dear children, this is a time of decision.” I understand these words to the very depth of my being. There is no choice as far as I am concerned. I choose life, and for this comes a price, I must decrease so that He may increase in me.

Honestly, you dear reader may choose between good or evil or God or no God. You may agree or disagree with what I have written. But as one who has lived it to the full, and has paid the price for the reality of sin almost to death, there is no other option for me. In the end when it counts all will come to know truth in the fullest of the sense of the word.

Yet for the Mother of God to be permitted to come to the world for 29 years, and for the world to continue to ignore her coming and ignore the voice of heaven, the only place I want to be is tucked under her mantle of protection when God’s justice comes. Woe to those who do not recognize the time of visitation said Jesus to St. Faustina in the message of Divine Mercy. However, blessed are those who do! Join the winning team!
Ave Maria!

St. Louis deMonfort – True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary #205-206
“What does this good mother do when we have presented and consecrated to her our soul and body and all that pertains to them without expecting anything? Just what Rebecca of old did to the little goats Jacob brought to her. (a ) She kills them, that is makes them die to the life of the old Adam, (b) she strips them of their skin, that is of their natural inclinations, their self love and self will and their every attachment to creatures, (c ) she cleans them from all stain of impurity and sin. (d) She prepares them to God’s taste and to his greater glory. As she alone knows perfectly what the divine taste is and where the greatest glory of God is to be found, she alone without any fear of mistake can prepare and garnish our body and soul to satisfy that infinitely refined taste and promote that infinitely hidden glory. Once this good Mother has received our complete offering with our merits and satisfactions through this devotion, and stripped us of our own garments, she cleans us and makes us worthy to appear without shame before our heavenly Father. She clothes us in the clean, new, precious and fragrant garments of Esau, the first born, namely her Son Jesus Christ. She keeps these garments in her house, that is to say, she has them at her disposal. For she is treasurer and universal dispenser of the merits and virtues of Jesus her Son. She gives and distributes them to whom she pleases, when she pleases, as she pleases and as much as she pleases….”

My Motherly Heart Prays, part I

I and my Son want to give you love....

January 2, 2011 message to Mirjana Soldo

Dear children,

Today I call you to unity (communion) in Jesus, my Son. My motherly heart prays that you may comprehend that you are God’s family. Through the spiritual freedom of will, which the Heavenly Father has given you, you are called to become cognizant (to come to the knowledge) of the truth, the good or the evil.

May prayer and fasting open your hearts and help you to discover the Heavenly Father through my Son. In discovering the Father, your life will be directed to carrying out of God’s will and the realization of God’s family, in the way that my Son desires (wishes). I will not leave you alone on this path. Thank you.

Mirjana felt that she could say to Our Lady: ‘ We have all come to you with our sufferings and crosses. Help us, we implore you.’ Our Lady extended her hands towards us and said: Open your hearts to me. Give your sufferings to me. The Mother will help.

How many of us take these words to heart? How many of us hear the word and act on it? The Mother is praying that we comprehend these words.

Thank you dear Mother for praying for me, and opening the Word that I may understand its meaning. With the Holy Spirit, help me to convey the word, and to put it to life in me.

Jesus was clear in the gospels; you are a friend of Jesus and will remain in His love if you live his commandments and blessed is the one who hears the word of God and acts on it. (John 15:10-14)

The holy Mother always lives the words, “do whatever He tells you.” (John 2:5)

So, to be God’s family…this is a great call in the words themselves comes with a great responsibility. It is about family honor now. How do we live as a family member of God?

Very simply put, we have been given a model to follow. God’s family began with the Holy Family, through Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Today I have received a tremendous teaching of this recent message from Our Lady.

There has been so much to the teaching, the task for me is to articulate it where one could easily reflect, take into their heart, and then put it to life. I pray to the Holy Spirit to convey His words all the further to make up for what I lack in my human fallibility.

I will begin with how the Lord began with me at the break of day this morning.
I woke up to a homily on the local Catholic radio station and the priest began to preach about “receiving love.” Of course this homily spoke to me right where I was at. He gave the analogy of an empty bank account. You can write all the checks you want he said, but if you do not have the money in the checking account your checks are no good, and they are going to bounce. You cannot give what you do not have.

Well, I thought, this is us clearly, meaning my family life-and like most. We are always perplexed at how we are always broke, and cannot seem to find a way to get ahead. (I must clarify my friends, my life is an open book, and is always used as to help others on the path to their conversion – nothing more. I share by example and how the Lord has taught us).

But hearing these words from this priest triggered my attention. God knew how to reach me, as I am praying to understand why it’s so, as the Lord also keeps repeating, “you lost the love you once had…” Yes, this is true, I am not the same, nor do I have the same zeal and fervor of faith as I did at the beginning of my conversion when I was on fire for God.

I am war torn and battle fatigued, and seeking to be renewed. But God is calling me out. I am not loving as I should. And then my soul was flooded with questions as if examining my conscience, as I felt the Lord convicting me in so many ways. I was in my car driving from one parish to another to reach an adoration chapel, just to sit and chew on these words, and I spent over 4.5 hours in dialog with the Holy Spirit before the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar.

Therefore, what I am about to share, is from the heart, for me and to share with you dear readers, as I also must put this message to life myself.

The questions that came were very stern as I kept hearing the song, “What’s love got to do with it?”

The Lord said, “Where do you draw your love from?

What source does love come from? Well, I thought, I am with Jesus almost every day in holy adoration. Now I have to give my attention to how am I spending this time with Him, the eternal spouse of my soul….

Do we live for human or divine love? (in what order)

Are we looking for love in all the wrong places?

He reminded me of His words months ago, saying Love has no value unless it is poured out…and the image of the crucified came to my heart.

Then the homily I heard this morning came back, as the priest spoke about appreciating the gift from God. With love comes appreciation and gratitude. Whew, I wanted to shrink in my seat before God.

Again I heard the voice of the Lord say to my heart, you cannot say you love God if you cannot appreciate the gift of those whom He puts into your life, or are thankful for the blessing you already have.

Then He took me back to the bank account. Our account is always empty…there is nothing there. We struggle to make ends meet to just cover from check to check our monthly expenses and to feed the family. Sometimes scraping change to buy milk or eggs. Yes, this is the level of poverty we have come to.

The Lord is telling me what I am giving of myself is not giving with the heart, it is the writing of bad checks or has become routine for me-as though going through the motions. There is no love in my efforts. Of course my heart began to sink as again I see myself in truth once more.

Jesus repeated to my heart, “You must draw your love from my strength, divine love.” In His love, He allowed Himself to be crucified. Well, I shutter at this, because I’ve walked this path many times, in fact I am still nailed to the cross. But I am disgruntled, complaining, and expecting something in return. Now I am convicted in truth…I am not loving with divine love but of my own weakened human love that carries no weight.

The Lord freely gives His love. He is always there to give His love. The problem the Lord said with the human heart is that “we do not freely receive” this love. The word I repeat is “freely receive.”

We have lost love for God, the passion that comes from divine love for the salvation of souls, which is true authentic heartfelt love for God. The Love of Jesus drove Him to the cross. We expect God to give and give when we need Him, but do we give our self in return, without complaint I may add?

We have forgotten, God is the Father. He is the Creator of life. We would not exist on this earth if He did not will it so. Our pride blinds us to this truth.

Every human being has a conscience, said Our Lady. Every human being is made in the image and likeness of God. (Genesis chpt.1) Why? Because we are made up of body, soul and spirit. We have a God given will to discern good or evil. But most often we do not exercise our conscience or our will to choose good. Our natural inclination is to sin. We are not naturally good in nature my friends-we have a weakened and fallen nature in the flesh. If there is any good in us, that credit is to due to God whose spirit is within the human person, and willed it so.

If we do not receive love from the originator of love itself our source for existence, and if we do not have God our Father in His proper order in our lives, then I assure you, everything in your personal life will be disordered.

As a human race we are choosing in full conscience to ignore that God exists, and that He sent His own Son into the world as a gift to the world. He did not send Jesus into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world from itself. (John 3:16)

Why does the world need a savior? I ask this question as well; can a human being save himself from damnation without God? Absolutely NOT!

What do we need to be saved from? Sin and death! Eternal death that is. Jesus made it clear when He returns at the end of our life on this earth or at the end of the world, which ever comes first, we will need to give an account for our deeds. And He made it more clear of that those who do not live His way, and practice evil deeds, will not enter into heaven. (Revelation 22:14-21) Heaven is for the one who repents of sin, and perseveres to the end.

If we choose not to accept this gift of God in His only begotten Son who is our salvation, and we choose to ignore what He tells us by His Word and His established authority on earth-the Church, we choose death and hell over life.

So dear friends, how can you say in good conscience I have life with God? Or Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and savior (as some would say). Is He?

How can you say I am a good Christian and I love God above everything, if you only pick and choose what you want to live and follow from the example of Jesus, and not the whole message?

How can you say you love God if you cannot live with the very gift God has given you in your life for your sanctification, such as your spouse, your children, your family members, or your neighbors/co-workers etc?

Dear friends, if you rely only on your own strength, that is “weakened human love” you will fail and those around you will convince you of your failure by words and actions. They will express the lack of love they received from you, by their anger, rebellion, hatred, or mockery and more. Division will creep in and the door will be wide open for a whole mess of darkness. Because the love of God is not in us, and we are not living as God’s family members.

Jesus Christ is the summit and source of divine love, who in unconditional and in an incomprehensible way gives Himself in fullness, every day in the holy offering of the mass.

From the beginning of the existence of Jesus Christ in the flesh the love of God willed it so that He should come into the world in utter poverty; naked, cold, and in darkness.

He still comes to the world every day, exposed in His flesh as He is in the mystical way, into the cold and darkness of our hearts and souls.

So what has changed from that holy night? Nothing! It is the same God who was born in the cave with Joseph and Mary, who is the one who is present in the most holy Eucharist that comes into the dark cave of our souls, to bring His light desiring to be born anew in me and in you.

I pray that divine love, not human love, but divine love will grow in His fullness in my heart and in the heart of poor aching mankind.

For this section I will stop here, and will continue on as I have said in further parts for greater contemplation and reflection. The Lord is gracious in His Word and counsel.
Ave Maria!

“If you knew the gift of God and who is saying to you, “Give me a drink.” you would have asked him and he would have given you living water…” (John 5:10)
